good food awards: craft food producers

The Good Food Awards is a national initiative based in San Francisco that recognizes craft food producers around the country for excellence in taste and sustainability. Awards are presented at an annual ceremony at Fort Mason Center in January, with an opportunity for winners to meet with top retailers at the Good Food Mercantile and with the general public at the Marketplace.
Products bearing a Good Food Award seal assure consumers they have found something that is tasty, authentic, and responsibly produced.

Now in its seventh year, Good Food Awards has honored hundreds of producers across the following categories: beer, cider, charcuterie, cheese, chocolate, coffee, confections, honey, oil, pickles, preserves, spirits, and pantry. While it was previously judged with charcuterie, this year preserved fish have a category all their own.

Entry Period for the 2017 Good Food Awards runs from July 5 to July 31, and registration can be completed online at www.goodfoodawards.org. Entrants will be contacted in mid-August regarding shipping instructions in preparation for the Blind Tasting on September 18.
