public installation art’s new meaning: grain silo art

I was minding my own business, surfing, when I came upon the blog Agricultural with Dr. Lindsay.  She’s showing a massive public art installation project in Australia on grain silos.  I mean this is the new Mount Rushmore.  The new Oscars.  The new street art.

The work of artist Guido van Helten (who by the way, just received his Bachelors in 2008) exemplifies a young man with a vision, the artistic talent to carry it out, and the knowledge and know-how on a huge art & agricultural scale.  Just gorgeous.
