connecting trains to cultural community, but how?

All Aboard Florida is moving full speed ahead to bring modern passenger rail service between Orlando, West Palm Beach, Ft Lauderdale and Miami. Starting in 2017 thousands of train passengers will disembark at the now under construction train depot in downtown Miami. Connecting directly to Metrorail and the Metromover passengers will be able to experience the arts in Miami without driving and parking.

The Arts & Business Council is partnering with All Aboard Florida to connect the thousands of passengers that will pour in on the 16 daily trains that will stop in Miami with the cultural community. Arts information including maps that show easy access to museums, performing centers, festivals, galleries and more will be distributed to train passengers.

They need your input. ABC, in conjunction with All Aboard Florida, will hold 3 focus groups this summer with local arts executives to help us develop this important link to new audiences. The first, in August will focus on museums and performing venues. The second on festivals and the third on galleries and arts venues. How can we effectively promote the arts to passengers and how can we get thousands of new arts participants in our doors?
